Counseling Ministry
Throughout life, many people experience defining moments, challenging circumstances, relational pains, and difficult times. We are here to help. Whatever season of life you are in, or whatever difficulties you are going through, you can find help, healing, and hope through Faith Bible Counseling Ministries.

Vision and Mission Statement
The purpose of our counseling service at Faith Bible Church is to reflect Christ's love and compassion to those who are hurting by providing a safe, caring environment for individuals, couples, and families, free of charge, through a confidential, Christ-centered counseling ministry rooted in biblical principles. All our leaders and volunteers are trained and equipped in their area of expertise.
Pastoral Counseling
Our pastoral counseling is led by experienced pastors with advanced theological training and extensive, diverse ministry experience. Pastor Rob and Pastor Mark provide biblically grounded, compassionate guidance through individual, couple, family, and premarital counseling. While not clinical, their depth of ministry equips them to offer spiritual counsel, practical encouragement, prayer, and scriptural insight to those seeking comfort and direction for life’s challenges.
To schedule a meeting with Pastor Rob or Pastor Mark, please call or email the church. Office Hours: Tues - Fri: 9am-5pm.
Biblical Counseling
Dr. Iliana McNutt serves as our staff biblical counselor (non-clinical). She is a trained counselor who integrates psychological methods with biblical principles. With an M.S. in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Counseling & Psychological Studies, Iliana works with adults, couples, and families facing anxiety, stress, trauma, and life transitions (menopause). She offers psychoeducation that utilizes cognitive-behavioral strategies and personality theories within a biblical framework to provide personalized support. Although educated in psychopathology and able to recognize symptoms of anxiety and depression, Iliana is not a licensed mental health professional, and her services do not replace licensed mental health care. When appropriate, clients may be referred to a licensed mental health professional. Her compassionate, integrative approach supports clients’ mind, body, and soul.

Peer Support Listening Ministry
Peer Support Listeners (PSLs) provide confidential, one-on-one support to individuals facing difficult times who are not seeking formal counseling. PSLs are trained in empathetic listening and encouragement, fostering a loving, non-judgmental atmosphere where individuals feel heard and understood. They do not offer advice, therapy, or professional counseling; instead, they focus on listening with empathy, praying with and for those they serve, and helping individuals process their emotions considering hope and biblical truth.
If you need support, email counseling@faithbiblemd.org with your name, phone number, and a brief note. We’ll connect you with a trained listener for confidential support and prayer.
